Who's behind Sentinel
Owner-operator, not a call center.
Sentinel is run by Michael Gulden, a 13-year IT professional with a long interest in reusing and repurposing retired hardware and in safely refurbishing or disposing of computers and lithium batteries. Based in Meridian, Idaho, the business focuses on secure, accountable pickup and disposition for organizations that cannot afford loose ends with their retired hardware.
Past work has included participation in government liquidation auctions and helping give retired hardware a second life in the local Meridian market. The operating model is relationship-based: most jobs come from repeat clients and referrals, because the goal is predictable pickup and documented disposition — not volume.
For data-bearing media, Sentinel separates, accounts for, and routes each drive or device intentionally. Sanitization tooling and certificate automation are being formalized; until that work is complete, public copy stays conservative and Sentinel does not advertise certified destruction.
